Default Busy weekend with the SV.

Had rather a busy weekend with the old SV, put lots of new bits on to make my 140 miles a day commute easier.
Old grips removed.

Heated grips fitted, lovely and warm, though the right hand does get a bit hotter.

Chewys great mirror extenders. New reat tyre, nice Conti Roadattack.

Fitted Scottoiler

Only got the oiler working this morning as when fitting to the SV (carb'ed) it required the Suzuki T-Piece (RM-150250) available free of charge from Scottoiler.

Right hand gets hotter 'cos it's insulated by the throttle sleeve

How did you stop the grips from being on when the ignition is off - I've got to do mine shortly

mr toad re heated grips-on the cyrvey theres a feed to the rear light under the rear seat ,i spliced into that using a scotchlock for a live and the earth straight to the battery so that when the key 's out or the lights are off there is no power to the grips ,sorted

I haven't... its a todo on my list... but I was going to use the spare connection in the fuse box, just couldn't get the bit out to complete it and I was getting angry with it. So I left it and went on to the next job.
I'll try it again this weekend.

It's different mate, there is a spare slip in the fuse box that you can use on the pointy
