Short brake and clutch levers?
Hi all, can anyone let me know if there are any differnce between marks of SV both 650 and 1000? Im looking at getting some cheap short ones from Hong Kong ~(I know you get what you pay for) but just find the standard ones are far too long. Others are a bit too expensive havent got £150+ to buy them.
Well will they fit or not? Mines a 2001 curvy 650. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Clutch-Brake-L...item2306d8857f Last edited by sniff; 06-05-10 at 03:52 PM. |

Re: short leavers
i wouldn't of thought so, the sv1000 has a hydraulic clutch, i would asume that's a different fitting to the sv's cable clutch

Re: short leavers
short leavers = midgets running away
short levers = something else entirely And if you do get the eBay ones - PLMK what they are like or post a review - I'm tempted by shorter levers but not a fan of pazzo type prices! Last edited by markc123; 06-05-10 at 05:18 PM. |

Re: Short brake and clutch levers?
I know I've posted this on here several times but the cheapest and easiest way to short levers is to simply cut off what you don't want with a hacksaw. Then cut the balls off the ends of the levers and get your local engineering firm to weld them back on the ends of your shorter levers. Once you have tidied up a bit with a file and emery paper they look quite presentable, and cost less than a tenner!
