Default Moulded ear plugs

Hi all

Has anyone shopped for earplugs recently? Where's good value?
Foam earplugs simply do not work in my ears so looking at moulded (or alike).

Thanks

Custom Fit Guards or Ultimate Ear, really depends what features you want in the plug.

Solid(relatively) plug, filtered plug, wired with speakers?

This isn't what you asked for but it's a useful site for non moulded earplugs. They also sell a pack of 20 randomly selected plugs for £9.95 so you can try different types.

Depends what you want to block out too. I use the Pinlock ones, which are a step up from foam and have a filter in to cut out high frequency sounds. They do the job for me and there are 2 sizes in the pack so you can choose the best fit.
They are around £20 but Infinity and Sportsbikeshop both have 10% discount codes available right now, bringing the cost down a bit. Might be worth a punt if you haven't tried them.

I have Ultimate ear moulded plugs, had them for over 10+ years, good value I'd say.

Wish I'd got some with headphones.

I have a sensitive right ear, and I still have to take them out mid ride just to relieve a bit of pressure.

Thanks all, I'd thought about headphone ones but then thought I could use my headphones instead of earplugs when needed (probably not protective in the slightest). I only really ride with music on long trips and generally have a mic too so can take calls.

Will take a good look at the above. It's the wind noise that gets me, leaves me a bit tinny for the rest of the day after a good blast

I've used the DIY mouldable R&G ones for a while now. They work pretty well if you get them moulded right. They give you enough putty for 3 so you do a practice one or afford to get one a bit wrong. I do need to get some new ones soon though. They've lasted about a year and a half so far.

you do get different DB levels of foam ones, what ones have you been using?

I can't fault the ones I use; they fit really well and offer a lot of noise protection, I can still hear the intercom music & phone calls with ease and they are extremely comfortable.

Ditto for me, except the sensitive ear part

For what it's worth, I use these:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Senner-prot.../dp/B077NB9PJ3

They're really soft and comfortable, definitely better than foam, and you can hear things (including music) through them. I do really think moulded plugs would be better, so following this thread!
