Re: Graphics cards
Covid. They just aren't making enough to meet demand.
I managed to get a 3070 by following a stock notifier on twitter. You need to be quick |

Re: Graphics cards
Worse than Covid, look at the shortage of electronic components . . . . . this is likely to continue for the next 12 months at a minimum - potentially longer.

lack of raw material to make the electronic components, allocation issues of the components due to high demand, no space in the factory to make it, then there's the transportation issue as there's very few planes flying . . . . All manufacturers of electronic components have issued price increases this year across all components, and will continue to do so in the current market. |

Re: Graphics cards
They can't produce enough games consoles either lol. Like DJ said, it's the same with everything. Even steel prices are going up and up. It's causing issues for everyone

Re: Graphics cards
Bet the prices won't come back down either. I had heard in the news that there is a shortage of chips at the moment.

Re: Graphics cards
It's all Covid related. Demand will have gone up with people working at home and buying new computers while supply will have decreased due to lockdowns and disruption to the manufacturing. As mentioned, it's in many different fields. I was looking for a new music system and an amp that was around £300 a year ago is now £425-450. Camera lenses, second hand cameras and bike prices have all gone up too.
