The shoes are really good. They're slightly narrower than some of my other running shoes but still comfortable. They work really well too, seeming to push me forward with each step in the same way that a good pair of walking boots do. Grip, both fore and aft, and laterally is excellent. The shoes come with the extra lacelock holes which means they stay put on my feet and don't loosen off over the course of a run. The laces could ideally do with being an inch or two longer though.

It is possible to buy them in different width fittings I'm told, so you should be able to find some which work for you. Having said that, I have fairly wide feet and these fit fine.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking, it’s the same route every week so will give me a good idea how I’m progressing, still not got my head back into it properly yet (same with my terrible eating habits recently as well)

Keep going and you'll get where you want to be. The other parkrun mantra is the "the hardest part of parkrun is getting out of the door!". You could apply that to both the running and lots of other stuff we do (or don't do).

I was planning on going for a run last night but then I sat down and had some dinner and I just can’t run after eating, dog training tonight so no time tonight either

Not a good idea to be running straight after eating! You're likely to see your dinner a second time!

I got out last night, my missus has joined us both to Bishops Stortford running club. And having paid £55.00 each for the year I thought I'd best get over there to start getting my monies worth. It was a nice run - on Strava.

Which is good as I haven't been running in a little while and have 12k and 90 odd obstacles covered in mud to contend with on Saturday! Yep another mud run.

I really wish I'd gotten around to getting a watch, as I'm not taking my phone through all that crap.
So alas it won't get plotted, but yeah I imagine there will be a pic or two.

Have a look on ebay Martin. Bit late now I know but there are lots of older and perfectly useable Garmins for sale pretty cheaply. I bought my Forerunner 110 with charger for £18! It works perfectly.

Gary good idea.

Well 12k and 90 plus obstacles done. I now feel tired and battered. I'll post pics later, mainly once they put them up on their site.
