Lidl's Automatic Charger
Sales patter...
I've got a old SV battery that I've had for about 2 years now, and have charged it every now and again. About 6 months ago, could no longer charge it so thought it was dead but never threw it. Connected this up, took at few minutes to start charging and now after 24 hr charge the battery seems all fine and dandy. Even left the battery off the charger for about 6 hours and it hasn't lost any charge, checked it with a multi-meter and it states it producing 12.4 Volts. So if there are any left in Lidl's I'd grab them if I was you. |

Got one on Thursday, along with two back protectors and a couple of first aid kits.

Re: Lidl's Automatic Charger
I think I'll grab one tomorrow then. I assumed that theyw ould be crap for a fiver and I can get my battery charged in a proper bay at work but it's nice to have the option to charge at home too. If I fit a ciggy lighter I can use it as a cheap as chips optimate too.

Re: Lidl's Automatic Charger
I picked up one of the long, wall mountable chargers that Lidl were doing a few months back and it seems fine. 12v only, but what sold me on it was an advert in one of the bike mags for an identical looking charger from Germany (big hint) saying that it was one of the best on the continent. Touch pad control and the usual electronic sensing etc.
Has a fairly hefty cable and croc clips to deliver a high charge in very cold weather too - good when the frost etc has hammered you poor battery and you need a quick go. Garry |
