Spot on. The 100 and 700 came out at pretty much the same time. Your 100 does not have the fold out screen my 700 does and the controls are repositioned for the smaller body size, otherwise they are fairly much the same. I tried them both and decided the 700 fitted me better.

So my collection
Bodies: Canon EOS 500 (film), bought more for the lens than the body (£30) Canon EOS 300D Lenses: Canon 28-80MM (kit lens for the EOS 500) Canon EFS 18-55 (Kit lens for the 300D (courtesy of Jambo) Canon 75-300 Would this 50mm be any use or do I already have it covered...

You've got the focal length covered, but none of those lenses let in much light. If you want to borrow the 50mm for a week give me a shout.
