Default I've got another bike - Bandit 1200.

Hi all

Well as the title says, a combination of being crap at riding bikes with V-Twin engines and spending an unhealthy amount of time on ebay looking at zxr400s led to me ending up selling on my beloved curvy amid many doubts as to whether I was doing the right thing...

And I ended up with this - and it's not a zxr400!

It came with a few extras as well - a 50mm jack up kit at the back, stage 3 Dynojets in the carbs (need to get the bike dynoed to check the A/F) and Renthals amongst a bunch of other things!

I did do the right thing getting this bike I reckon. She's a big heavy bike but I can ride it much more smoothly than I could the SV and can fling it round corners more easily. It goes without saying that the power and torque is immense and the noise from the stubby can is AWESOME!

I won't be signing off from here, I'll stilll be lurking around and posting if its something I know about! But I just want to say a huge, huge thank you to everyone on this forum. In the time I've had my SV I've been given lots of help on any problems I had from oiling the chain to adjusting my back brake lever. From this place I learnt to do the R6 throttle mod, I've learnt to change oil and filters, I've learnt to replace exhaust systems and remove, take apart and re-jet carbs (a big mention to YC for his advice on re-jetting the carbs around this time last year - a beer for you should we meet!) I've also learnt from here a huge amount on bikes in general and this place has done so much to help me get into motorcycles.

I'm really grateful to you all. Thank you thank you thank you!

Nice, I always fancied a big Bandit myself (awaits the misquotes).

Looks sweet. Let me know how it rides.

Congrats - & you got a 'proper' one (1st Generation) too !!

If I could justify it I'd have another B12 in a heartbeat - absolutely brilliant bikes.
