Default Is me tyre fudged?

Got the MOT tomorrow (eventually). I got the bike out tonight to stick the standard can back on and noticed this below. I know they are due for replacing, and I know the Z6's are prone to dropping to bits in a very short time. Does this look like it's on its way out?

My only other thought is that it sits on carpet in the shed, and it hasn't moved for 2-3 weeks - so could it just be the carpet print if that makes sense?

I think it might be on its last legs, is it like that anywhere else on the tyre ?

Legalities state that it has to have 1mm tread depth and 75% visible tread over the rest of the tyre , I would say that was ok by those rules , and by the time you ride it there it may have worn out a bit better in the looks department .

Might be a carpet imprint then, I'd be keeping a close eye on it though.

I started a thread a while back after I checked me tyres one morning (after moving the bike forward) and found a patch very similar to that one, thought me tyre had melted or summat.

Anyway, turns out it was just where it had been sat on the [rough] drive.

Cheers guys, thanks for the second opinion.

They are on the list for changing soon, was hoping to hold out 'till the NEC and try and pick up a cheap set.

Maybe the little burn out and skidding to a stop last time I was out didn't help (only 'cause I know they need swapping soon). hehehe

That is caused by skidding, you can see the straight line marks where stones have picked up on the rubber. Crash investigators slook for this kind of thing post-accident. The wibbly bits are simply lightly melted rubber and should wear off in a few miles.

Whatever, it's not something a tester can fail the MOT for unless the tyre has a huge flatspot. He'll feel that on the brake testing rollers, if they use them.
