We can provide loin clothes with spanks face on them but the down side to this is he has to break his court order by being within 2 metres of people to ensure and tailored fit.

Oh well, get organising.

In all seriousness though this was billed as a back to basics AR, none of the people who have organised clothing in previous years wanted to touch it with a barge pole and none of us in the GM wanted clothes ourselves (all our meetings are neked you see) nor did we fancy the hassle of sorting them for others at whatever extortionate price we could get them for. If someone else wants to step up to the plate however I can almost guarantee none of us would be offended.

It's a fair question and we did look into it for a bit but the consensus among us was we weren't really interested ourselves and yours is the first question I've seen on the subject so we'd come to the conclusion it wasn't vital. Not sure how many people wanted them last year, didn't see that many.

True, oh well it's more about the knee downs and then the knees up afterwards than the accessories

the clothing from my side: despite the t-shirts being around £14 (some think this seems relatively pricey for a simple t-shirt) the amount of time going back and forth finalising the design, the amount of time production takes and usually during a busy period of my main line of work etc. it's just not viable. I've never really tried to do the AR clothing as a massive money making scheme 'cos it's for the 'Org - but at the same time the bills do still need paying and events work really has to take priority.

That and standing at a heatpress for 8 hours over 2-3 days is one of the most soul destroying experiences lol. As far as I know cbay is still about and doing his stuff.

Well it was just a question as I haven't seen much about it this year, and to be fair heat pressing always make me think it's a form of work out

Thanks Paul, I hoped you'd chip in but didn't want to name you.

Personally I don't think £14 is expensive for a T-shirt if it's decent quality but it is quite a bit to shell out for something you probably wouldn't wear that much after an event (or at least I wouldn't). In my mind Primark and the like have made such things look less and less worthwhile even if the primark stuff is cheap rubbish that doesn't last.

I'll say again that we're arranging this as a fun event at a low cost but if others (like Cbay) would like to arrange something as a little add on none of us would have an issue(I haven't asked the guys this but I can't see why any would).

yeah that's exactly it Spank - the shirts are usually gildan or fruit of the loom, which everyone knows are mass produced blank shirts designed specifically for customising a lot of the time - cost comes in the time taken to create the artwork, CAD cut it into flex, weed out the waste material from the flex and then press the flex onto the garment - each garment has a unique username front and back usually, so it's not as simple as just pulling a shirt out of a box and pressing it over 20 seconds, you have to check the against the size, colour, username and any other special requests for that particular garment - then repeat for the next 50-70 garments.

Then packing each shirt, labelling everything up, delivering, paypal take their fee for handling the payment, the website order pages take time to set up so that people can order etc. it's a massive operation which takes many hours - and then there's not a particularly appropriate margin to account for all the hours making everything come together............

and then someone pm's you the day before AR saying they forgot to order theirs and "is there any chance?" lol.

Yeah if cBay or any other orgers want to organise their own stuff then it's up to the AR:GM crew to give it the thumbs up or whatever

Excited for the AR though guys! Can't wait.
