My smile is more of a feeling proud, eldest at the tender age of 15 has got his first job as a washer upper at the local pub, he did his first shift today, came home in tears because it was such hard work and the went back later to ask for more shifts. I feel so proud that I cannot stop smiling at the thought of it.

I'm sure that was delicious but it looks like an egg yolk with wing sticking out.

That is cool, shows he has a great work ethic.

I had a similar experience on my very first paper round as they gave me the longest one which went out into the country.

ive had plenty of tough jobs, picking cauliflowers, mucking out pigs but ive never quit any of those.

So he'll stick at most things if he can do this job

Default Smile of the day - What is yours?

My crappy phone pic really didn't do it justice.

I finally got home at gone midnight absolutely shattered but what a day. Great atmosphere, great result. We were so busy in the bars we had 4 of the most senior management pulling pints, another one counting pound coins in a cupboard! We let kids in free yesterday, adult tickets were only £20. Over 21,000 people turned up. Hearing the excitement all day and the cheering at the end gave me my best day at Lord's in a long time.

My smile is that I'm off to Manchester with my beautiful wife for lunch at Jamie's Italian followed by cocktails at Australasia. No reason, no kids, just us.

I'll apologise now for any drunken posts that appear later!

The sun's out, the sky is big and blue, there's hardly a breath of wind, the birds are singing, everything is blossoming and its quiet.

my kind of day
