Our local half postponed until Sept due to Corona virus... Cycling Ireland sent a mail shot recommending clubs postponing club rides for a few weeks and cycling solo.

Think I'll just ride motorbike

Lots of the regular annual running events are getting cancelled or postponed now. I suspect one of my favourites, a small, locally organised race at Myddle in Shropshire may end up being cancelled. It’s due to happen on 29th of this month. I’ll be particularly sad if this one is pulled as it’s a really lovely event.

I received the replacement for these last night, forgot to take a pic.
These obviously didn't like being wet and muddy practically all the time, they deteriorated really quickly once they started to age.

So I thought I try something different.

They feel really nice straight out of the box. Looking forward to trying them, I'm hoping they help sort out my ankle as it didn't seem to like the last pair of Asics.

Now I just need to figure out how to pronounce Saucony.

Funnily enough I'm also looking at going back to Saucony shoes. The Inov8 Roclites I bought last year have done what it appears most Inov8s do and split at the crease on both shoes on both sides. Several people have said to me that their Inov8s have done exactly the same. Bit disappointing, considering they are not cheap shoes.
I've had two pairs of Saucony trail shoes in the past and been very happy with them so I'll go back to them again.

Made it out for a 4.9 miler this morning and checked out a short new section of trail I want to use for a social 10 miler later this year.
Good run but very wet and muddy out there!

Looking forward to my run this evening, hoping the tread on these is better than my old Asics, which were bolder line rubbish in the really wet stuff. Just looking at them they should be great.

Looking forward to hearing what the grip on these is like Martin. I'll be buying new shoes in the next few weeks and these could be contenders. Whats the sizing like?

Gary, they were really comfy and super grippy. Oh and now covered in mud. I felt so sure footed in them, no slipping at all. And they shed the mud with ease.
I chose these as the gumph said they were comfortable and supportive. Which they were. They have a kind of sock to support your foot, which is nice.
If I'm honest they might be a touch heavier than my Asics, but I can live with that. I'd rather them be comfortable.
I have really wide feet, I once got measured in Clarks when I was younger, and the assistant looked at the result in shock, she went on to tell me none of their shoes would fit. Which was helpful, not.
Anyhow, they fit well, possibly better than my old Asics, but that might be something to do with the "sock".
So far I'm really happy with them.

One of the things I like about Saucony is the ability to accommodate wide feet comfortably.

I know you've just bought some shoes, but Altras are good for wide feet, particularly in the toe box.

They're zero-drop though, which doesn't suit everyone. I have three different models now, two trail and one road, and love them.
