This sounds like a goodun, damn sight closer than scotland too. Does the pub you mention do B&B too? I definitely do not camp!
Tentative yes from me.

Be sure you shoot loads of pictures Ed. Its a long way for me to come to these meets and believe me if I was rich I would buy a bike and shed somewhere on the continent and ride over every time you guys meet. So make a lonely sufferer happy and shoot pictures so at least I can enjoy those and dream. Hope you get good weather and the sun shines for you lot on the day.

I'm sure Ed will get plentr of shots of the scenery and all the bikes disappearing in the distance.
We'll give him a good headstart so he can get some shots of the front of our bikes as well.

Daryl.

darylB and I took a break from our hectic and demanding lifestyles to do a scout of the route today

I'm pleased to confirm that it's an absolute cracker

No new scameras, only a few awkward bends, only 3 sets of traffic lights - and depending on exactly where we start that might be 2 - fantastic mix of open fast roads and tight twisties to include two hairpins, scenery from English chocolate box villages with thatched cottages to wild Welsh hills, 160 miles total route length, good stopping points with iconic bike cafes and fuel alongside, and manageable splits.

I'm uploading a few pics (here's two, few more to follow)

These are on the B4364 at Burwarton, between Bridgnorth and Ludlow.

Watch this space, I'll be posting a pile more.

I promise a fantastic ride

Edit - here's the OK Diner at Leominster. Terrific American kitsch.

Huge meals, good value

and while we were there, these arrived. Oh glory be. I near - well, I won't say...

More soon

Ed

I grew up in Luston, only three miles from that Diner. It was flooded out last summer and completely renovated. I can vouch for the food, all fresh cooked and tasty!

Count me as a maybe. I'm a maybe for the Ecosse rideout too but more likely to be able to make this one!

Any B&B's nearby Ed? I'd probably be riding down on the Sat morning so I don't really fancy faffing about with a load of camping gear for a one-nighter.
