Re: Soho Mega Thread Part III
Yeah. The closest I got was about 4 or 5 feet when one of the fighting bulls fell in front of me. Luckily it just got up and carried on running instead of getting lost in the crowd. If you look at some pics or video there are 6 steers (castrated bulls-light in colour) and 6 fighting bulls. The steers keep the fighting bulls docile and in a pack. If a fighter gets lost that's when there are gorings like today. Once in the bull ring they let out some lesserbulls with corked horns to chase the 3 or 400 striong crowd. When they bring a steer out to bring back the other bull the effect is amazing. It's like a child walking calmly hand in hand with it's Mum.

Re: Speakers Corner
Not me I'm afraid. In answer to your question on the Brands Hatch thread, I was dragging my knee round every right hander. Then I had a wobble ad I got progressivly slower throughout the day.
See you soon Chrissy baby. |

Re: Speakers Corner
I had a rear end wiggle coming out of Druids - I put it down to the mad track temp causing tyres to overheat and lose traction. Nothing to do with my ham fisted throttle control of course.

Re: Speakers Corner
Glad you're ok TM.
But I really hate the whole spanish and bull thing. I hate the bull run and I hate the "sport" of throwing sticks in the bulls (I know the latter part isn't part of the bull run) Im not actually suprised the bull gored someone TBH, what else is an animal supposed to do if its being hit with sticks and theres people in its way whilst its trying to run with the pack? |

Re: Speakers Corner
So, it has happened.
I left my bike last night covered and locked as and where it usually is. When I woke up this morning, the cover was gone. The alarm wasn't set off, which is very difficult to do when removing the cover, I have tried many times and failed every time. Now either the cover was stolen by a very determined and experienced cover thief or some sneaky barsteward thief was trying to have the bike. What do you think fellow Sohoers? |

Re: Speakers Corner
Covers do get nicked if they look eay enough to take, dont forget thts at least £30 sitting there not tied down and some scumbags will take anything not tied down.
However its also been said to be a sign of the fekkers wantign to come back and take it and making it easier to spot and handle when they show up in a van. Can you move it comewhere safer than where it is or at least somewhere unseen from the road and chain it to something too if possible?
