Accommodation recommendations
Hi all,
I may be working in central London for next 6 months. I'm looking for recommendations for accommodation for Monday to Friday. Initially I'm looking for something furnished, but may eventually look to rent etc. Anybody live close and need a flat mate? Any good suggestions other than expensive London hotels? Mike |

Re: Accommodation recommendations
I will have an ask, where are you working in London, and are you planning on using public transport to get there?
Will you be heading back up north for the weekends? James

Re: Accommodation recommendations
I am in a similar situation. Moving to London in a month and need a temporary place for the first two months.
Going to be working in Staines but would prefer staying in a South London place like Clapham. |

Re: Accommodation recommendations
I found some great accommodation through www.airbnb.co.uk.
Some very reasonable apartments and rooms. I'm here in one now, literally 100 meters from Tower Bridge for £67 a night, bargain. |

Re: Accommodation recommendations
airbnb is the best.
I travel a bit for work and I have completely switched from Hotels to airbnb for the last two years. I'm even using it soon for temporary accommodation when moving to a new country. |

Re: Accommodation recommendations
yep, I managed to get a private room and full use of apartment facilities for less than half the price of a hotel room.

Re: Accommodation recommendations
Yeah. A year ago I stayed in Brooklyn for a week, had an entire apartment (including back garden) for half the price of a very modest hotel room. Mostly because the person was going away and part of the deal involved feeding the cat.
