Default More SV Woes

After all the issues and work done recently bike was going great until on the way to work tonight the front cylinder decided to just stop working. Now got to get home one on cylinder then figure out whats going on. Had a quick look plug cap off and screwdriver in the end gives a spark against the engine, might be a bit weak not sure. So not a repeat of my failed coil hopefully. Plug out and it looked a bit black but not to bad. Will try changing the plug and see where that leads to.

Has it rained at all when you've been out on it recently? Or has it been washed recently?

Nah, water is not a cause. Bike now off the road till I can be arsed looking it it. Pretty scunnered with it right now. Perhaps I'll just set it on fire.

The HT lead to my front plug broke inside the insulation, which made it work intermittently.

Took the coil pack off and couldn't see anything wrong with it physically. Bought another off eBay so will change it out. It was this coil pack I previously changed for the same issue, though I had no spark at all last time. Have bought an adjustable spark tester so will see if the spark is weak. Doesn't look like you can replace the HT leads on these coil packs.

Difference between curvy and pointy perhaps? I couldn't see anyway to separate the leads but didn't want to risk damaging it either.

have you got the wires on the back of the coil on the right way round, they are both spade but they have an order. the negative wire is directly opposite to the HT lead and the positive is below it.

positive should be Orange and a tracer colour which i think is white

the negatives are solid Black for one coil and white and blue tracer for the other.

Yep the bike was working then just stopped. The spade connectors are different sizes also so can't get them reversed.
