Default Centre stand on SV

Anyone had experience of fitting or trying to fit a centre stand to an SV, specifically an L7. I assume someone, somewhere produces such a thing. I miss having a centre stand so much, one of my few gripes about my AL7.

I know for my Curvy they are expensive and apparently a right Royal Pain to fit.

I ended up going for a Front lifter to go with my Rear Paddock stand.

Makes front wheel/Brake servicing a doddle

The only manufacturer of centre stands I knew was SW-Motech and they haven't bothered with the AL7.

Never seen any centrestand options for the AL7 and can't imagine how a conventional one could possibly be made to fit.
I have looked, but no joy.

Just get a ABBA stand, if they don't make adaptors for the AL7 at the moment, they'll machine some up.

I checked out ABBA stand a while ago and they do make adaptors for AL7 2016-> - ( you have to remove a couple of the small plastic covers down by swing-arm pivot to fit them ) trouble is the ABBA stand does not travel with the bike --- Oh well looks like I will Have to get a Honda

I received a reply from SW-Motech ( couldn't see one on their website but decided to check if they had plans to make one ) - just said they do not have anything suitable at the moment...

I use an Abbastand on my AL7 and have recently bought the front wheel lift arm too. Taking the stand with you would be a nightmare, not really practicable.

There used to be an extending arm that, in conjunction with the sidestand, enabled the back wheel to be lifted. Here you go: the "Snapjack" :

£53 approx on ebay

LOL, my point was that a centre stand travels with the bike, an ABBA stand stays in your garage....

There's a certain company in India which has come up with a brand new 650 model which has mudguards and a centrestand and a grabrail and a big comfy seat.....
