Default SV1000 rear wheel

Hey all,

I did see the rear wheel thread but it looked geared towards the 650's - so here's a question:

Can an SV1000 take a k6 GSXR rear wheel? I've had a set of Dymag wheels offered up at a good price and would like to see if it's possible.

According to Dymag, the rear wheel is bolt in, in every sense...apart from the sprocket and the spacer. Here's the differences:

SV1000 sprocket distance: 110mm
GSXR K6 sprocket distance: 115mm

What options are there for this? Can I have the mounting face of the sprocket carrier milled down 5mm or can I space the front sprocket 5mm to suit?

Also, the front wheel on the K5-K6 GSXR's has a different spindle and requires spacers - unlike the SV which has a collar sleeve that the spindle screws into, not requiring spacers. Right?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
