It's a newish fitted tyre (Conti logo still visible).

I'd have a good look at the tyre bead and how well aligned it is to your rim. There is a moulded line around your sidewall about 4mm from where it meets the rim which is to make sure things are squared up ok. How does it look?

Also, if your pressures are down, even a wee bit, the wall could be deforming a little and the area worn closer to the edge of the tyre may be weaker than the other part of the zig-zag, thus squishing more onto the road.

Just my tuppence. I also use Conti Attacks.

surely if the rear suspension was on its way out, the bike would feel a little odd ?

oh and sorry for the confusion, the bike is a CBR.

the bike feels as happy as ever, these tyres have transformed my bike into the smoothest, best handling bike of all time. also, i had my suspension checked about 3 weeks ago, and reported no problems there.

even in the wet these tyres are ace. and i feel no squirming or anything like that.

checked the wheel alignment this morning, and that was spot on.

next thing i shal check is the brake, to make sure its not dragging or anything.

Warren, you haven't said what the pressure is that you are running. 40? 42?

Okay, looks like it just needs a bit more wearing-in. Get it leaning!

im right on the edge of the tyre at the moment, got about 2mm til the edge.

funny thing is, im using nearly all the tyre, and it doesnt feel like the bike is leaning over much at all (compared to my 014's)

although just a novice

It looks to me that the extreme "chicken strip" is concentric to your rim,
but the "commuting" wear is the wavey section

maybe too soft a compound for your average riding style, as it looks like the waving is around your tread pattern

Keep an eye on the wear rate and if happy, Ride on
