Hi all,

Thought I would do my bit and introduce myself...

I'm merely 23yrs old and live in Leamington Spa (midlands) and a boring company car has made me seriously consider a bike. So that's exactly what I'm doing - passed my CBT a couple of weeks ago, theory test is booked for Thurs before I book my full test (taking lessons in the meantime). Never really riden before, but absolutely LOVE IT!

I've been advised from several of my 'biker mates' that an SV650 is a really good 'first-bike'.

I have already been trawling through the ForSale section and will keep my eyes peeled. Ideally looking for something no older than 2003 S model, with preferably the lower fairings too (unless you guys do not advise them?)

Well, that's it! Hello to one and all

Hello and welcome. Good luck for tests and searching for a good SV.
The guys can advice you on what to look for if you have had no experience.

Lower fairings look pants, get a belly pan rather.

Oh yeah and welcome.

You may wish to scream "AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH! MY EYES!" upon seeing Grinch's avatar - this is normal.

Check out the MIGTS section.

Welcome to the site mate. I rekon full fairings are the way to go, but 'tis all down to what does it for you - check out the photos section, plenty of different SVs with all kinds of mods to whet your appetite
