Re: How Comfy is your seat?
My K5 seat was a torture device for me - an hour at most before I had to stop and get off to let the blood flow again. It was ruining my fun so I got a Corbin seat (lardar*e special). funny thing is it's firmer but it spreads your load over a wider area. I think it might be a touch lower than standard too. Bit of a b*gger to fit as the mounting holes on the seat bracket don't line up with the holes on the bike too good. Anyway, my backside has never been so happy

How Comfy is your seat?
I've got the stock units on mine, and 14 hours in them over the weekend was still nice and fresh in the buttock department. Anyone else happy with the stock or is replacement the way forward?

Re: How Comfy is your seat?
Mine is very comfy, it's the OEM gel seat... Not massively better than stock but less squashy- the stock one seems to just squash without really supporting much to me. Mainly I like that it's lower and narrower, means I can run teh tail higher without being on tiptoes.

Re: How Comfy is your seat?
I have a soap on a rope under my stock seat! Numb bum on long journeys but I put that down to loud exhaust and a fat ar*e!

Re: How Comfy is your seat?
I don't find the pointy OEM seat very comfortable. It takes me less than an hour in the saddle to start wishing I wasn't. I think the longest stretch I've done non-stop is N'ton to Bristol which is something like 110 miles and I guess something over two hours? By contrast I've done 400 miles in a day and felt fine as there were lots of breaks in it.
Dunno if there is any way to improve the seat? Do you get used to it? Is it because I have a bit fat ****? |
