Default SV 99-02 dash lights

Hi does anyone know what size and wattage the bulbs in the dash are .. the ones for the speedo and rec counter. One of mines blown and I need to sort out a new one. Also can they be bought easily over the counter at elctrical stores or do I need to order? cheers

According to Mr Haynes the bulbs are different for faired or naked.

Naked 12v, 1.7w x 2
Faired 14v, 0.84w x3

Default Fitting?

How easy are the bulbs to fit to faiired sv?

Without me manual I havnt a clue!

I need to replace both.

Theres three bulbs in total ... its pretty straight forward .. just remove the fairing panels .. then you can unbolt the clocks, just look at what you need and strip down to it .. once you've got the clocks off its pretty easy to change the bulbs, unscrew the bulb holder pull out the bulb, replace and screw in

repeat the process in reverse

Thanks or that, trouble is my k2 is fully faired, so I wil lhave to put up with it 4 a while!!

Mines fully faired too, it doesn't take long to take the fairings off, literally 5 4 bolts for each side fairing, 4 more for the front and then a couple more to get the dash out ... shouldn't take you long at all
