Tyres
just a helpful reminder to the less thorough among us that in these less clement riding conditions we should be extra vigilant with regard to the condition of our tyres.
My bike went in for unrelated work recently and the front tyre was noted as being bald, despite the machine having passed its last MOT. Bearing in mind the tyre was the standard Metzeler (which apparently aren't great anyway) this could have been nasty! |

I'm getting new boots on saturday and while I'm in there I'm going to ask them to tighten my chain too as it looks a bit loose.
Other things to keep an eye on are, tyre pressure, engine oil and chain lube. I check mine every couple of days... too much? (Aren't I just awsome? ) |

Yes, don't ride for 70 miles on the mesh, just because you can't afford new tyres yet.
Had a fun time convincing the chaps in the shop that I hadn't been doing burnouts. |
