A few days in Europe, Eifel?
If all goes well, I'll be leaving the Frankfurt an der Oder on Sunday and head back to the uk - need to be back up here on Saturday. The plan was to visit Normandy, then head up the Lands End and up to Scotland, but seeing as I'll have a day or two spare there's room for more.
I'm thinking of heading towards the Eifel, maybe visit the ring (do you need leathers on the ring?), then off to France to see the beaches. Any suggestions on a place to stay (camping or a budget B&B) and a few routes around the Eifel? Cheers, dyz |

Departing on Wednesday, got a free bunk in the cabin. I'll chuck one of the biggest open air festivals in as well.

Don't think you need leathers on the ring. It's a public highway. realistically of cops wanted to be wnkrs they could do you for speeding infact if you look around there is speed limit signs on the track
Also Eiffel mountains are amazing! Enjoy |

Only thing mentioned on the website is that "motorcyclists need to wear full protective clothing".

Re: A few days in Europe, Eifel?
The whole of the Eifel region is great for biking. You might also want to consider a dip into Luxembourg, around Vianden. You do not need full leathers for the Ring, but do need full protective gear (they don't often do spot checks at the ticket barrier). Mind, the roads around it are every bit as good and free (albeit at slightly slower speeds)
I'm in the Mosel Valley, 35 minutes from the Ring if you're looking for cheap B&B at 20/25 Euros per night (£16) including secure garage parking and breakfast. We've had loads from the SV forum staying with us. We can be seen at www.river-valley-guest-house.co.uk There are also lots of camp sites in the area. Enjoy. |
