It was a complete balls up. The building didn't have enough capacity and they were selling tickets on the door as well as dealing with those who prebooked. They severely underestimated how many people would turn up, and we only got in because I had a photo op. They moved to the footie ground after that. The whole cast were there, including both male and female Holly and Mac McDonald.

The Electro 35 arrived today. Had a tinker and I get a nice clunk before fully winding on, the lens is clean and the aperture is good. Bad points, focus ring was flapping loose. I tightened it up and the focus was frozen. A few drops of light oil on the exposed helicoil and it has freed up. Had a proper old mercury battery from the dead Electro and the electrics and shutter work well. Just need to sort the focus out and away we go. Also just won this 264267983371

Wow, that is so much like the Zeiss 530/2 it's ridiculous. I have a near-scrap 530/2 if you need any bits, the glass is clean and shutter works, not a lot else left on it though.

Hope you like the Electro 35 Kenzie. Mine produced sharp images but I couldn't get on with the exposure setting faff.
Don't know why SRTs are scarce. Usually there are plenty of 101s about; fewer of the 200 and 300 series. Look for the 102/202/101x or 300 series as I think these have the split image focus screen if you are bothered about that type of thing. Did you go for the Rokkor wide angle by the way?

I put the wrong film in the RC35.

Grim and grey last week so i loaded a roll of XP2 400ASA. At the weekend, someone flicked the 'hot' switch and it's bright blue skies, sun and 30 degrees. With a maximum 500 shutter speed, I'm struggling to get correct exposures.

Hmm you're gonna have to use some small apertures! At least it's film so you can overexpose a couple of stops and usually get away with it. You could try to get hold of a ND filter, or one of the (respected) guys on the RF forum just shoots through his sunglasses if he needs to.

My Moskva arrived today, its actually a 2 not a 4 (not dual format) and I have already fixed the shutter release that had fallen off the door. There is a tiny spring sticking out of the side of the shutter speed dial, so will need a strip down to fix. It seems functional and no leaks but needs a clean. A little rough but won't complain for less that a fiver!
