Aye, tis a shame they couldn't have strung it out to double the number of episodes, would have been great to see more of the actual production, particularly the Pykes Peak one. Gorgeous engine and didn't get to see it for long at all, that turbo fitting was sweet!

I didn't get the effort in the push training. On the event they barely seem to push.

Default Speed with Guy Martin CH4 now!

Just finished watching the kart one, brilliant!

Although I can't help but think they could have done better...? The design they showed had fins and wings extending out towards the wheels. Does anyone with a better aero background think that would have made a difference? Also not sure if it would work at those "low" speeds but maybe some aero for downforce perhaps, would that help with top speed?

Gotta love the closing sentence from him though! Haha

You only need to learn the one phrase...."avez vous un cuppa?"

As far as drag goes nothing is quite as horrible as an open wheel, especially spoked wheels. A set of spats over then would have surely made some difference.

Stability was their main issue, I don't think downforce would be necessary (after all, our motorbikes can do nearly double that speed without issue). I'd guess most of that was due to lots of flex in those wheels, wrong tyre design for a 4 wheeled vehicle and possibly suspension design.

They seem to be allowing some room for being beaten in all these challenges. Not sure if that's deliberate though.

Having ridden down the section he did this speed run on and suffered a speed wobble myself having hit a bump, which unsettled my pushbike, I think that there are better hills to have done this attempt, where he could have bettered his speed. It isn't the smoothest piece of road by a long way in my experience.
