The upside to someone though is that the spot is confirmed, so it's up for grabs to anyone lurking. I suspect from what I heard when I called that the whole day may be cancelled anyway, but I'm open to being contacted if anyone fancies it.

Wonder what happens when they cancel it. Money back I suppose, be difficult to give you another date.
It might be OK looking at the weather forcecasts

What the guy said to me was that they'd give you a credit against a future date if they had to cancel it, but (at this point in time, being within 14 days of the date) if you cancelled, you'd lose out.

I'm definitely out of this one, so I'm now going to be selfish and hope for a cancellation

Sorry to hear about your off Orose.

I'm not a wimp and don't mind riding in the wet and cold, but I do kinda hope this gets cancelled now. By the looks of the weather report it may by under snow on Friday anyway

Just spoke to Motorsport Vision. At the moment it is still on, and they won't be making a final decision until Friday morning. If it isn't too bad he said they have ways and means of clearing the track.

So, all being well we're going down Friday night in the van to be all ready bright and very blummin breezy Friday morning.

Brrrr.

The last Oulton Park we did a couple of months back, they gritted the track .
We didn't realised they did that to race tracks till the chains started to rust & all of the aluminium parts started to fur up, Get ready with the ACF

omigod
I am already acf'd. So's the shed floor, the drive, the cat, half the terriers and me.
I've even got some on the bike.
I am up to my eyes in work and have been sort of half praying for a cancellation.
How bad can it be?
Track day in the sleet on a gritted track?
Are you allowed waterproofs over your leathers?
Are we allowed bonfires?

Assuming this is still on. How far do people go with prepping the bike?
So far I think i'll take the tail tidy off complete with indicators and plate. Front indicators & mirrors off. Headlight fuse out (wherever that is..). Tape over the headlights and the holes left in the fairing.
Also bring tools, flask and butties?
And a trailer and a brush and dustpan?

May be worth removing your headlight too.
