Default Woe is me!

I knocked my SV over! The propstand was sitting on wood so the bike was near vertical and I nudged it and over it went. The usual clueless attempt to hold the handlebars to stop it failed.

It had a full tank of fuel (is my excuse) so I needed help to pick it back up.

Damage? So far the main thing I've found is that it pinched the coolant hose (at the clamp) at the water pump, piercing it and broke my handguard on the throttle side (it dropped on the rhs) but the guard is still usable.

No stock on the hose so I've placed an order with Fowlers - £30 with shipping for a 6inch (?) piece of shaped hose.

Bugger! Not good. Easily done though unfortunately. It's why I use a rear paddock stand when the bike is parked up at home..

Normally I don't have the bikes so close to vertical but I wanted to chain them both together and rather than move the SV closer to allow the chain to stretch, I chose the lazier option of putting a block under the sidestand which just gave me enough slack to link them.
I suppose I was lucky that the SV didn't fall on the GSX and knock it over too.

A case of counting your blessings rather than numbering your curses.
