Default Buffalo Sports Panniers vs. Expanding Panniers (both soft)

Following on from AlpineStarHero's thread (the guy who offers you a GTA session on xboxlive and then sacks it off without telling you ) just wondering if the buffalo expanding panniers would fit sv1000 without fowling the exhaust?

The sports panniers are 33 litres combined which isn't much but a lot more stylish, whereas the expanding big ones are 58 litres = mucho storage space for bottles of port, guns, drugs, maybe even some souveneirs...

Does anyone have any experience with either/both? Already got a buffalo tankbag and I'm impressed with the quality. Just need to sort out my yorkshire topbox to fit a bit better and I'll be set for all bike trips forever...

Gonna look at booking a dover-calais ferry for middle of april and see where I end up

Well I thought I had the buffalo sport but mine expand..

You have me confused now.

I had mine fitted to a pointy with a high level can no problem so think yours should be well clear.

Mine look like the sport but expand...weird.

Either way, I dont think you would have a problem with them on your exhaust.

I used to put an old towel under mine where it sat right over the exhaust just to stop the can from getting scratched.

The quality of them is pretty good as are the prices.

I use mine for work sometimes too (when I know its not going to be raining ) and can easily fit all my work clothes, boots, laptop etc in without a struggle.

PT6, tank bag and tail pack will see you right, no need for pannier faff!

It's the way Suzukis are designed to roll:

9 day trip

Two week trip:

Just keep the tank bag small, a useful headrest for motorways and job jobbed.
