Default Hein Gericke Oil?

I have read a couple of old threads about people using the Hein Gericke Oil and wanted to know if its any good? I can get 4L of 10/40w with a free Oil filter for £23. (You may already know about that deal) This seems really cheap for 4L of oil so I want to know if its any good and what people think if it.

Here is the oil im talking about - http://www.hein-gericke.co.uk/techni...-40-14282.html

The filter is their own brand filter so im unsure of how good they are and whether I should consider using it.

Thanks.

Apparently Hein Gericke own brand oil is in fact re-branded Motul.

Engine oil for your motorbike

I have used the HG stuff several times.
My engine still runs.

Me too. Most people will write off/sell their bike long before they take it to the mileage where the oil that has been used will have had much effect on the longevity of the engine. So long as you're not putting anything with nasty clutch-slip inducing additives, it will most likely be fine.

s'cuse the Hijack, but I just wanted to check that Halfords oil is actually ok? I notice in the sticky thread Sid mentions API SF or SG but on the Halfords website it says the oil is API SL. Does that make a difference?

Cheers!

Yes nothing wrong with Halfrauds oil

I use their semi synthetic in my Curvy

What you've got to remember that big companies are not going to sell rubbish, otherwise it damages their public profile & trust.
