That last one with the lights on at 5000 rpm is a bit too low.It should be over 13.5 volts.That suggests you need to do the alternator output check on those three yellow wires to see if it is putting out enough to keep the battery charged.If the output is ok you may have another duff reg or a totally different problem.

Oh balls! Ok, I'm tempted to test it again later and get the misses to hold the multimeter as I did see higher readings, but I'll also test the three yellow wires.

Ok, it seems a pattern is occurring... lately whenever its been cold in the mornings it refuses to start sometimes to the point of the battery dying (this happened yesterday morning) , but I knew this morning it would start as its ****ing down and the temperature outside is higher than the norm lately. To me this is pointing to a bad battery, as my car gives nearly the same readings on the multimeter as the bike did? Helppp
