It was 1° when i set out. It topped out at 15° once the sun got his hat on.

As John says it was a bit chilly at the start, but there were a couple of places where I felt the temperature suddenly lift. First was on the A458 just past the watershed at Dolmaen, and the second, oddly enough was right up on the top as we went over Bwlch Oerddrws just before beginning the descent to Dolgellau.
By the time we got to Y Bermo it was warm enough to sit outside at Davy Jones for our coffee (and my monster plateful of beans and mushrooms on toast).

The scenery pretty much all the way round our ride was fabulous. I must have ridden that loop a couple of dozen times at least and it never fails to impress me. The clear blue skies and balmy temperatures were definitely the icing on the cake!

Great find John. Cheerful, cheesy Barmouth. Can get a bit wild west on a Friday and Saturday night in holiday season mind!

There only appears to be two cars on the prom and the train is chuffing over the bridge in the distance. Love those old railway posters.

I do too. In this case it makes Barmouth look like the cote d'azure.

Right, there are three names to be confirmed before I can sort a final price. If anyone is in touch with Widepants or Yamrdtez could they ask them to let me know whether or not they are coming. Also aj76, you mentioned your riding accomplice coming along. Could I get confirmation on them as well please.

Going on current confirmed numbers it's £34.30 per person for the weekend. If the other three names confirm we're down to £24.00 per person.

I'll be messaging everyone with bank details in the first week of next month and a final sum so we can get the booking sorted before Christmas.

Ta....
