Failed MOT
My 02' SV just failed its MOT because of the front brake light is not illuminating the rear light.
I've changed the levers from OEM to short levers. Unsure what the problem could be? Not making a complete circuit once the lever is pulled in? Or if the wiring has had it? Rear brake lights it up fine passed on everything else but the problem above. Anyone else had this problem or know how to solve it? |

Re: Failed MOT
Similar problem on changing with the contacts on both clutch and brake before.Long time ago but I think it only needed a little spacer on the switches

Re: Failed MOT
Yep, had the same problem
Switch was buggerd. Easy job, part number 5. It'll have fallen apart inside Wemoto or Robinsons for a new one Part# 57460-17C01

Re: Failed MOT
Might well be the switch, but, before spending money that may not fix the problem:

Re: Failed MOT
Do as Sid says, but when you take the switch off, give it a little shake, if it rattles its fubarred, no amount of WD will cure it.

Re: Failed MOT
had a similar problem on the b12 with none oe levers and had to put a plastic wire tye round lever with a spot of silicone as the lever did not push the button on micro switch in far enough to put brake lever on
