Default Failed MOT

My 02' SV just failed its MOT because of the front brake light is not illuminating the rear light.

I've changed the levers from OEM to short levers.

Unsure what the problem could be? Not making a complete circuit once the lever is pulled in? Or if the wiring has had it?

Rear brake lights it up fine passed on everything else but the problem above.

Anyone else had this problem or know how to solve it?

Similar problem on changing with the contacts on both clutch and brake before.Long time ago but I think it only needed a little spacer on the switches

Yep, had the same problem

Switch was buggerd. Easy job, part number 5. It'll have fallen apart inside

Wemoto or Robinsons for a new one

Might well be the switch, but, before spending money that may not fix the problem:

If yes then the switch is the problem, remove it, fill with WD40 or similar and operate the switch with your finger a few million times. If the switch still 'clicks' then it very likely hasn't mechanically failed, so the 'switch full of WD and click it a lot' approach often works in cleaning the contacts.

Do as Sid says, but when you take the switch off, give it a little shake, if it rattles its fubarred, no amount of WD will cure it.
