Wow that's a lot of extra water! The advantage if being on a hill eh? Have the winds picked up? I've just looked at the weather forecast for your area and it shows rain and thunderstorms but pretty light winds of about 10 - 15mph up till tonight.

Been little to no wind here at all. Very odd for a hurricane. Lucky for us, power still on.
Worst of the rains gone.
Now if we can just avoid the lightning storms this afternoon .
Ground is very saturated. Hoping no trees fall but we should be all safe (not being near a river)
Never been this close to such a huge storm and have so little damage.
Glad it made a turn to the south before it hit land. Just a few more miles north would have been devastating.

how can a radar map show the future.... its ermm satellite images. BTW the ones that we get to see are only snapshots taken at certain times, the public dont get to see the constant images. there are hundreds of satellites around the world gathering weather information 24/7.

the Met Office has it as well but not in colour. https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/...ime=1537401600

I like this one for the rain radar: https://www.netweather.tv/live-weather/radar

and this one for visible light satellite: https://en.sat24.com/en/gb/visual

this one for the wind (it's mesmerising) https://embed.windy.com/

and this one for lightning, when you zoom in it shows a smoke ring effect for the sound wave front from the thunder, you'll need to look in the Med for a storm to check it out : http://www.lightningmaps.org/?lang=e...d=2;dl=2;dc=0;
