Difference between K5 and K6 red colour? Want a belly pan - SV650.org

Just bought my bike and not sure if it's a K5 or K6! Have sent off the logbook so can't check that, and manual says K6 but I thought the dealer said K5 (was prereg'd in march 06).

I ask because I want to buy a suzuki belly pan, but they only list the red one for the K6 not the K5.

Are the reds the same? Any way to tell some other way if it's a K5 or K6? Anyone got a red suzuki pan for a K5 / K6 and does it match?

No the reds are different, IIRC the K5 red is metallic red, whereas the K6 red is a flat red with no metallic effect.

K6 is indeed a flat red - one of the reasons I went for it was because it was the only non-metallic colour.

Speaking of which, inspired by Paws (an her post on stickers WAS inspirational :P ) I am planning on personalising my SV.

Anyone know the Pantone colour that matches K6 red?

Open your owners book. On the first page is a pink sticker. It says on there if its a k5 or k6. That is the only way to tell.
