What are the odds of a needle shaped rod long enough to push the plug through the carcass hitting exactly the right place?
The main thing trying to remover the plug is the internal pressure of the tyre, and flexing of carcass.

That dynaplug looks interesting though, but would need a pump or CO2 adaptor and 16 gram threaded bottles,

From what I have seen takes 2 x 16gram CO2 to completely inflate a front tyre, and 3 to 4 for a rear.

Bit short of time/patience so it took me a lot of jumping around to get to the answer (kept thinking I was in bloopers but they were obviously just doing a 'thing' talking to the cameraman etc).
I use the 'grandpa sticky rope' trick but even more confusingly I bought mine in a little purple pouch like he held up and said "this is crap".

I've done probably nearly 10 repairs with them on both cars and bikes. I'll be honest, in my younger stupider days they were not temporary, I rode them to the bone after the repair (only repaired central part of carcass obviously) - I hesitate to admit... I routinely did high speeds on them including a trackday possibly two (I've a little guilt creeping in now, never thought about what if it pops and I hit somebody ELSE). I can't recommend them enough, not sure how much truth there is in 'you can't go over 50mph'...pretty sure that's spare-wheel tainted folklore, especially from my experience. I would not take one on a track again though.

You're going to tell me now Fort9 poo pooed them afterall

I keep CO2 tanks on the bike and a pump, plus the patches. Probably not enough to fully inflate the tyre, but enough to make it safe to ride to a petrol station/area with a tyre inflator.

i have a phone number that i call and a man in a van magically appears and sorts it for me.

if your going to do it yourself at the roadside then keep a pair of dish gloves with the kit, no not disposable ones as they are too thin.

personally i would use a slime and keep the object in the tyre till you can get home.

while we are on the subject of flat tyres.. when was the last time you checked/tightened the inner cores of your tyre valves?

Never checked them, never had a problem with one in 53 years of riding and driving.
