Re: Am I the only crazy in Essex?
Ah thanks, was going to take a trip up to JTS (formerly Heine Gericke) to ask there so you've saved me a journey. Actually started out there yesterday but only got as far as Great Leighs, popped into a mates for a coffee, ended up slugging through all the rush hour traffic coming home. This did make me appreciate the Philips Xtreme bulbs I put in last week. Much betterer than standard. Anyone done a comparison against Night Breakers? I will have to trawl through reviews.

Re: Am I the only crazy in Essex?
Night riders can cope with the vibes better so that is a 3rd one in the mix

I put Philips Xtremes in the Curvy, Nightbreakers in the Pointy. Pointy lights, being clear lenses appear brighter, Curvy lenses, being ribbed, the light seems more dissipated. Whatever, they are both dramatically improved over standard, wish I had changed them ages ago. To test Night Riders/Racers I will have to get an SV1000. Hmmmm! |

Also want to do the Dales circular route in full, this time keeping better watch on the fuel situation. I had never seen the fuel light on constant before and the satnav said nearest petrol 25 miles. Luckily I stumbled over an old style petrol station in Masham which was closed but had a card pay pump! Saved me a long push with a bike that looked like a whipped donkey with all the touring kit. Its taken me 3 years to perfect getting on the bike when so equipped (being shortish, mid 60's and overweight), I still look to park next to a kerb though, if I can. Will pop up sometime, and keep my eye on East Anglian section as always go North for rides. Let's face it living near Southend there is only one way to go. Even did a long weekend camping in the Dedham Vale on my C90 last May. But thats another story (and another forum). |

Re: Am I the only crazy in Essex?
Yes old bones and bikes.
Probably looks like I have a wooden leg getting on the Tiger. But then with my knee brace its as flexible as one. Im also an associate member of the IAM cadam group. But then I m also very laps at attendance . They have a good social vibe if your a friendly person.(im not so much) Do one or two runs a month.
