Arlen Ness
Hey,
Anyone got any idea about these leather suits? I'm a bit of a lard ass and tried on the alpinestars suits which fitted great but I'd need to sell my gf to buy them. Tried FT and they seemed far more slender cut. How do Arlen Ness compare? and whats the quality like? Cheers Dan |

I have Arlen Ness leathers which on the whole I am pleased with. My zips are crap, but I understand they use a different type now.
Nice and cool in the summer (bit chilly in late autumn) and comfortable. I need to get some adjustments made on the jeans, as I've got "little legs" syndrom, and the jeans look a bit bulky. Mate's had an off in his and they were fine, and the scuffs came out easily. Not sure what suits you're looking at, but the better ones are Kangeroo hide rather than cow. If I were to buy again I'd look at Alpine Stars or Spidi before much else, that said, Arlen Ness are now being worn by more and more riders on the professional race circuits. I have a red & black 2 piece.... And I'm a fat bas***** too BTW . |

Arlen ness are a great make, but they have not got the publicity that alpinestars have. They are better known to those who know racing. They are now only being sold at Hein Gericke stores and although some can be found in different ssops, all new models are exclusive to Hein Gericke mainly due to gaining more publicity.
From what i know, as i'm yet to have my training on them, they are a fantastic make of leather especially their kangaroo leathers, they are good looking and have a great fit (from what my male collegues have said). You wont go far wrong with these leathers just make sure you get fitted properly first and they are designed to use a back protector like the knox or similar Sammy |

Are you sure that HG have the exclusive ? HG web site only shows one item, and thats a 1 piece. If they the exclusive, they would be carrying the whole range. . |

Yes, i'm very sure that this gear is exclusive to HG.
We're starting to recieve other items through. We are still waiting for the kangaroo leathers. the website doesn't show all of the gear, and is still being tampered with. We do have some really nice stuff, but as i said we're waiting for the rest. Not all will be shown in the stores due to space, but any item of arlen ness can be ordered, for example, the womens leathers will not be held in store but can be ordered. Sammy |
