Default Front tyre change

Hi all,

done nearly 15k on the front (most of which is M4 motorway stuff)
I now need to change it. I have a Dunlop d220 on the back, and would like to try summat different.
Last time I had the back chnaged, I was told to keep them like for like - back n front. But Can I change the front for summat different in order to get a different back when she goes?

any ideas? or preferences?

1) How you can get 15k from a tyre is beyond me .
2) Change 'em both, really.
3) Metz Z6's sound the way to go for you if you want high mileage but also a good tyre.
