Default Nearest towns and shops etc

Some have asked where the nearest towns/villages are, that have supermarkets.

Settle is 4 miles away, is very easy to find from the campsite, turn right out of drive and follow sign to Settle.
It has a petrol station, many food outlets and 2 Co-ops open until 10pm, both Friday and Saturday night.

co-op number one is in the petrol station

co-op number two, is further into the town after petrol station. Its located in a side street where the main square is.....opposite side to 'Ye olde nakid man cafe'. Theres also a chish n fip shop here and a couple of restaurants..lots of pubs. if you zoom in to Settle on the google map link, you can see the nakid man cafe and also get a good look round on street view. take note of the big DHL yellow van on market place, as to the left of it is the co-op.

Ingleton is a little over 6 miles away, and is more of a village, but does have a Co-op open until 10pm. If you head in this direction you will find a petrol station en route.

Hope this is of some use to those who might want to pop out for beer and supplies for Friday night etc.

For those with no taste and bulging pockets, there is a little chef cafe about 1/2 a mile from the camp site.

The AR is usually different like that - there have been rumours of 10 or more SVs in previous years, but I'm convinced that that is all they are.
