Tues 23rd Yorksire ride/recce
Berlin and I are going to go for a recce of the route we've sort of planned for Boxing Day. It's the same as the route of the March ride out this year. See the route here.
The plan is to meet at the Little Chef on the Skipton Bypass at 10am and see how far we can get. If you fancy joining in, PM Berlin or me with your phone number or just turn up there at 10am. This will obviously be weather permitting and if we have to call it off for whatever reason we'll let you know ASAP. Safe (but fun) riding |

Has a little pootle today over the North York moors and it was a stunning day. The bike didn't even need a wash when I got back!
Looking forward to tomorrow now. Cheers, Carl |

You may find a few of the roads not actually listed on maps...
Was confusing, interesting and pretty fun. I'm in the mood for a good ride tomorrow, its a fair few miles down for me... Though it was fun last time.. I'm trying to not convince myself I should. Last edited by Smoggy; 23-12-08 at 01:20 AM. |

Fantastic all day ride today! It was wet southa nd west of hawes but dry on the East.
The ride went Ripon, Harrogate, Skipton, Meet up with james over breakfast, Grassington, Kilwell, Hawes, Coffee, Devil's Bridge, Sedgburgh, Hawes, Coffee, Leyburn, Middleham, Masham, Ripon and then Home. All garages we passed were open and there were more than I ever remember there being. Funny that you see more as soonas you start looking. It ws great to meet you James and I hope you had a safe ride home. No big issues to report apart from a few back ends trying to overtake the front and both of us being cauight out by a cattlegrid Excellent day! And that was just the warm up! Might head to Ambleside for the 26th/27th ride. Cheers, Carl |

Home safe and sound. Heated grips are a godsend on the motorway.
Great to meet Carl and the troublemaker. Great ride on great (if rather wet and greasy) roads. I had a few moments too. It was great to give the CB a good blast (first decent run it's had). My chicken strips are now down to 1/4 inch each side on the rear. |

Re: Tues 23rd Yorksire ride/recce
I was thinking about coming but the night shift was very busy so I was knackered Oh well.
Not bad Chicken strips, not the sort of weather id be willing to push my bike in So well played. They are some good roads, though I got to say I like more open roads that you can see around for pushing it... ha ha. |
