Well my smile of the day is this, our youngest Ollie has just won a trophy at the Pony Club Show, so far so meh, but he is 15 years old, the same age I was whe I won the same trophy. Won't mean much to most observers, I was an Osborne when I won it in 1982 and he is a Howlett, but I know and that is all that matters. Got to feel proud of my boy and his horse.

I was riding home across the country last night. When I got to Oxford realised it was Cassington bike night.

The marshals tried kidnapping me from my journey, it did make me smile.

15 seconds of excitement then finding I'm sat in the damp patch.

Such is life.

I'm talking about going on the Tidal ride at Thorpe Park with some fellow Orgers, obviously!

Watching the football and enjoying it immensely. That's the Wales match I'm talking about.

I don't usually watch football and England were such an embarrassment.

But that was fun. And I'm 1/8th Welsh.

It's my wedding anniversary. Lady Poppy has somehow put up with me for 22 years. We cycled to the pub and had a few lunchtime drinkies and thankfully got back before it started raining.

Is 20th china?

I seem to remember sending some friends a wok, bowls, chop sticks, soy sauce and a packet of noodles as a gift on their 20th.

The traditional gift for 20 years is china, the modern is platinum. For some reason there are two lists...
