Where is the passenger grab handle for a third generation SV650?

Hi folks, new member here and first post. I'm looking to buy a fairly new but 2nd hand SV i.e. 2017 onwards. I previously had the 2nd gen and know what a decent bike they are and am looking to move on from my currently too heavy bike and back to a much lighter bike these days.

I have a small garage space and need to be able to move the rear of the bike to get it into position and therefore need rear grab handles. It's a must have option for me for any bike but can't see any grab handles on the latest SV's

Can someone confirm if there are grab handles fitted as standard or if they are a Suzuki accessory?

I'm sure someone else will chime in to confirm but I think it's a bone-of-contention that the later models don'e have one

You could buy an earlier model or maybe a luggage rack for a rear top-box,

Thanks R1ffR4ff. sounds about right and what I feared. The luggage rack might be an option. Do you know what was the last model year that grab handles were fitted as standard?

I've got a feeling it was 2008,

Then the break came with the Gladius and then the new model SV650 later but I'm only guessing.

No, they're not fitted as standard. Suzuki, themselves, don't make one but other companies do:

Suzuki do make a rack for the AL7 but it means cutting into the plastic trim to fit.

Before I had a new garage I would store my bike at 90° to the entrance since it was shared with the car, on a dolly similar to this:

I've just removed The Renntec rack from my 2018 SV that I fitted last year, the basic design looks identical to the grab rail (apart from having a rack welded on the back)

The underslung mounting plate certainly makes for a sturdy "rail" it's not the most elegant arrangement though.

You might as well fit the Givi rails for the top box mounting plate and then have luggage mounting options as well as grab rail. Grab rail only necessary for pulling bike on to centre stand though isn't it ?
