Default Clip-ons....(from flat bars to clip-ons)

The SV is the first bike I've owned with clip-ons.

My only other bike I've had was my Bandit 6/750, and that of course had the obligatory renthals.

Now, it's been near on 10 months since I last rode a bike, and having just taken the SV for a quick 50 yard blat down the road and back (pre-MOT shakedown run), it felt flippin weird!!!

My low speed stability is naff, and my cornering is gonna be diabolical until I get used to it.

Anyone else make a similar move (from flat bars to clip-ons)?

If so, what did you make of it, and does it still feel weird now?

Yes, but I've lost a lot of weight since then. Now it's fine

I nearly answered this post, then I realised I've already posted to it on Oldskool

Yeah, the Virago-to-SV transition must have been a bit of a stretch...

I did the Virago-SV transition, the first time I got back on the Yam after riding the SV I nearly put my feet on the pillion pegs.

As you said on OSS Northwind, I expect most of my "wobbliness," in my first 2 minutes on a bike again was the 10 month or so break from biking.

Give it a couple of good rides, and I reckon I should be ok with it all again...
