Which bolt do I need for ZZR1400 shock on a pointy? - SV650.org

I have officially given up on trying to fit the Hyperpro spring to the stock pointy shock (yes YC, i should've just listened to you) as even Hyperpro themselves can't seem to tell me how you remove standard spring from the shock

So I've managed to get hold of a 2008 ZZR1400 Shock to put on my bike, question is... Is it the top or bottom shock bolt that I need to change? (Shock has been supplied with bottom bolt and linkage)

on the ZX10 swap on the curvy requires the kawa bolt at the bottom.

Sammy it is easier to offer up the shock and see if the bolts fit.

You need a longer bolt and a matching nut on the bottom; either the ZZR1400 bolt or you can use a generic high tensile bolt of the correct length (M10x60 1.25mm pitch 10.9 grade IIRC). The SV650 top bolt can be reused. You will need to remove the plastic shield that is screwed to the front of the battery box in order to clear the damper reservoir (or you could cut it up and refit the remains, but there's little point IMO).

Bit of a necro I know, but did you have any luck with changing the shock??
Also where did you go about buying the shocks??
