Oh dear, are you going to be on one of those awful "brits abroad" programmes?

Nice to see you are alive and well Deltron, looks like the ride out on the 10th could be a cracker if everyone makes an appearance and KJ doesn't breakdown again

I can't promise that I'll be there - it all depends on the DVLA pulling their finger out and I need to get the bike MOT'd and taxed on the day before (first day I can ride again!).

Can't believe you got rid of the SV! Did you even have it a year?

Don't think he even got his ass of the seat round a corner on it because he had it for such a short time!

Yeah, I got to the point where I wanted better brakes and suspension and with a 2010 pointy I couldn't justify the big modifications with it being so new....I test rode a few and then went for the bike I wanted for the long term with was the SMT, the brakes and suspension on it are awesome...and I doubt I'll change my bike now for a good few years, if ever...

I did lose a lot on the trade in but not as much as it would have been is I hadn't got an ex-demo SV, I lost approx 1K off the purchase price but some things were thrown in with the SMT

The bike is great for touring (I have the panniers) - I am planning to go up to Scotland this year, and I really hope to tour a little of Europe next year....possibly with my old man (he just got a BMW F800ST)

Nope, and I doubt I'll do it with the SMT either, I'm not that type of rider....I can go fast enough around the corners to get a thrill without hanging off the bike...I get great pleasure from my bikes torque out of the corners

It's all this contracting I am doing, I haven't had a proper holiday in 3 years so the bike is the only proper release I get (that I am willing to talk about anyway). I should be putting the bike to good use soon for work commuting...Norwich to Walsall and Preston
