Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
Mmmm the sound of good cans would be totally addictive. Just a bit concerned cos it would be the heaviest bike ive owned, and ive managed to drop all the others...

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
I love the VTR but based on nothing more than looks and sound. If the additional running costs weren't so much for commuting I'd look more closely for one.

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
One reason I got rid of the SV1000 - under 40mpg for commuting was not good - 55-60mpg DRZ400 FTW!

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
Luckily I have no commute, every mile is fun
Just been to look at one that was NASTY, no way im giving up my CBR for that!!! The only thing thats putting me off is the weight they DO look heavy.... Going to see another tomorrow thats way overpriced but should be a nicer example so at least hopefully i'll want to have a sit on, unlike the one this morning. |

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
I think i've finally decided i'm going to replace the SV with an Aprilia Shiver early next year. Did fancy a Dorsoduro but after trying one out it just didn't feel right and the small tank put me off but the shiver felt just right.

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
I'm just going to get the stuff for a front end conversion, or maybe just a spring change with emulators. Can't afford a different bike, and the SV does exactly what I want it to but it would be good to match a quality front with the rear I've already fitted.
So if anyone knows of decent breakers in the area (preferably close to Norwich) or of where I can get the parts from (I'm already looking through Ebay but would like to get a complete front in one go if possible) I'd br greatful. With birthday in a few weeks and Christmas not too far off (don't shoot me ) I may have some spending money to go towards it. |
