bar risers
Having done about 1200 miles on my new bike, I'm finding that I'm leaning forward too much. I understand bar risers can help me with that. I wouldn't know where to start.
I have an SV K8 (n) and most threads are about rising the bars for an SV S. Is there anyone out there who has put the bar risers on. Are they good? How much higher is it? Where can I get them? what makes do I need to look at? or are there Suzuki ones? Are they expensive? Would my cables need extending? That's a lot of questions sorry, hope there's someone who can help. |

Re: bar risers
Got these on mine.....
Gives you about 25mm (1in) extra height, no worries with longer cables/wiring etc as originals fit o.k. Think i paid about £30 for them about 2 yrs ago from a local bike shop in Cardiff. I know 25mm dont sound alot, but they made a good improvement to me. H.T.H

Re: bar risers
Thanks for that Tel, v clear pictures. Those risers look tidy!
You still got the unleaded sticker on the bike A friend said to me just peel it off when your bike has been standing in the sun for a while, and it worked. Last edited by wow; 03-06-08 at 08:23 AM. |

Re: bar risers
Well I have secured a deal with a website to get ABM yokes and bar risers at a greatly reduced price , he wants me to promote this on here , I have a cracking price on them and will ring him tomorrow to see what he will do for the .Org and as long as the powers that be don`t mind me doing this for the benefit of others . I am pretty sure he had riser extensions on the site as well for naked owners .

Tried this type on mine as a first option but found issues with the switchgear making contact with the tank on left/right lock with the bars . Also the electrics were at full stretch ,so decided to give them a miss.

Re: bar risers
Oh no not another mod I want!! Just ordered a gel seat from America, but these risers look great, I feel I lean too forward too.
