Default Hello and thanks

Hi I'm Gordon from Liverpool, I've newly joined your forum since having a problem with my 1st gen bike,
I googled the symptoms and it led me to a thread on here which was more or less exactly how my bike was behaving........charging system, thought I had a duff battery but a voltage test confirmed my regulator is shot,
My next question is new or pre-owned, I've looked at a few on ebay and notice a considerable difference in price between some very cheap new units to more expensive S/H units and a few in between, any thoughts or input appreciated

Hallo Gordon and welcome along.

New one from Electrex World if you're going for the standard set up or a new or 2nd hand Mosfet reg/rec.

Hi thanks for that, I've already seen the wiring mod required for early bikes so I'm going to do that , I'll probably go for a mid range £30 type there's a seller local to me which I'll give a go
