Fantastic PH Not seen it before
Inspired me !!!!!  Was going to say that must be a closed road (at least closed by bikers blocking it) then ****, saw cars! Some of it must have been closed no? Wheelies at 200kph!!! Is backing it in to every corner like that a good technique if you totally know what yo're doing - or is it just for show? |

Stu...I would never suggest backing it in like that on public roads mate. Save it for next time your nailing it at the track. It means you can carry much more speed in to the turn and you dont lean over as much and so faster out also. It is though a very advanced technique.
Those boys on the vid have some top notch skills!

Yeah...the yellow duke was backing it in...rear wheel steering...very good. Helps to get the bike going in the twisties.
I can do that but I don't wanna. |

Is it my imagination? I don't think the Duke rider is backing the bike in on power at all - I think he's just locking the tyre with rear brake. He seems to take several corners with the clutch pulled in....you can see/hear the revs drop to almost nothing - then you hear the revs suddenly rise as he releases the clutch and snaps the throttle open. If he's in the right gear, then he should be maintaining some several thousand revs - especially if he is spinning up the rear.
I don't doubt he knows how to handle the bike though! |
